Wearable drawings created by Elvira ‘t Hart
Elvira ‘t Hart is a fashion designer and 2D artist from the Netherlands, who merges her two crafts together to created unique wearable pieces. Her fashion is created turning a hand drawn sketch into laser-cut ready data, which is then used to cut the pattern out of leather. Her main focus is drawing and she states: “I became a designer just because I feel the need to make my drawings in real life, I wouldn’t sleep at night otherwise.” They feel like optical illusions, as if the wearer has drawn a garment onto their own skin. ‘t Hart is able to combine her passions and offers a great example of how joining old craft and modern technology together creates original artworks.
