Pietari Posti’s zodiac illustrations

Pietari Posti has created graphics for publications like The New York Times and Playboy, inspired by “the beauty of nature and its creation of the female form”. The zodiac signs he illustrated for the French Be Magazine show the same expertise as his designs for his larger clients: skilled use of limited color palettes and subtle textures. His graphics always consist of bold shapes in bright colors, more often than not geometric. For Be Magazine, he created his interpretation of the twelve zodiac signs, this example being Gemini. The turquoise, dark blue, coral pink and beige are repeatedly combined to bring about imagines that convey female strength.
The artist operates Studio Posti, located in Barcelona, and describes his work as based on “a sense of tradition seeped into a modern aesthetic”. The Finish designer continues to create illustrative compositions for magazines around the world.
